L’espace vous happe, l’immensité subjugue, les terrains de polo et les prés s’étendent à perte de vue, seulement protégés par un corps de Ferme du XVIIIe siècle.
Patrick GUERRAND HERMÈS, fondateur du Polo Club a tiré, avec son équipe, le meilleur de cet océan de verdure au cœur de la forêt domaniale du Château de Chantilly.

The Baron de Rothschild was a person fond of organising, in 1920, the first game of polo took place on the land where the Chantilly Polo Club was going to be created. The space in which you see, shows the Immensity of the farm. The polo fields and the meadows extend as far as the eye can see, only protected by a body of 18th century Farm.
Patrick GUERRAND HERMÈS, founder of the Polo Club, with his team, made use of this ocean of greenery in the heart of the Château de Chantilly state forest.

....Apremont, terre idéale pour implanter des terrains de polo et des herbages, avait été choisie par le baron Robert de Rothschild qui, dès 1920, avait réuni les ligues du polo mondial au sein de la capitale du pur sang.
En 1995, les terres de la Ferme d’Apremont devenant disponibles, un groupe d’amis qui rêvent d’ouvrir en France un grand espace consacré au polo obtient de l’Institut de France un bail de 50 ans pour créer le Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly.
Le nombre et la qualité des pensionnaires n’ont cessé d’augmenter depuis 1996 et bientôt les herbages ne suffirent plus pour héberger les chevaux. Les voisins agriculteurs ont donc participé au développement économique du club.
Depuis, le niveau sportif s’améliore d’année en année, grâce aux plus grands joueurs du monde, attirés par les compétitions qui servent de modèle et d’exemple, et permettent au Polo Club de participer au progrès et au développement du polo français. L’Equipe de France, dont une partie des joueurs est issue du département de l’Oise, vient d’ailleurs s’entraîner régulièrement à la ferme d’Apremont.
Dirigé depuis l’origine par Philippe Perrier, il est un centre de loisirs, de formation, de compétition, d'accueil et d'échanges entre clubs, un endroit chaleureux où se retrouvent tous les amoureux du polo.
Le Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly est aujourd'hui la plus grande école de polo en France et l’un des plus grands Polo Clubs en Europe où sont organisées de nombreuses compétitions internationales.

2006 > Record d’affluence dans le 6ème Open de France avec l’engagement de 12 équipes !
2007 > Deux test matchs d’importance avec un France - Indes et un France - Mexique, gagnés par les Bleus !
2008 > Un match de jeunes de moins de 18 ans entre la France et Angleterre, remporté par les jeunes Français. Un exploit quand on connait la qualité du polo anglais. Les aînés ont moins bien fait face au Chili dans la Coupe Piaget. Il faut dire que les Chiliens venaient d’être sacrés Champions du monde !
2009 > Deux tournois de « 12 goals » et l’Open de France à « 16 goals », le niveau du polo augmente sérieusement à Chantilly.
2010-2011 > Développement du nombre de tournois. L’Open de France est désormais un événement majeur du calendrier international. Victoire d’une équipe, Murus Sanctus, avec en son sein le nouveau phénomène du Polo Argentin, Facundo Sola.
2012 > Poursuite de ce développement : trois tournois de « 12 goals » en juin et avènement du polo féminin avec la Paris Ladies Cup en juillet et l’Open de France Chopard en septembre. Chez les hommes, 12 équipes engagées dans l’Open de France (septembre).
2013 > 1er Open de France exclusivement féminin qui a pu voir le jour grâce à Chopard et remporté par Centre Roissy Porsche, une formation de quatre sublimes jeunes-femmes : Tahnee et Naomi Schröder (ALL), Lavinia Fabre (FRA) et Lìa Salvo (ARG)

....Patrick Guerrand-Hermès, créateur visionnaire, a l’idée audacieuse d’ouvrir le monde du polo au plus grand nombre en le rendant plus abordable pour les pratiquants et plus accessible pour le grand public.
